KAREN FRON, MPT, OMPT, CLT

Biography
Karen is a Physical Therapist, Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist, and a Certified Lymphedema Specialist. She has been treating patients of all ages for over 20 years, and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of various orthopedic diagnoses involving the spine and extremities. She has served as a lab instructor at Wayne State University and a clinical instructor to many students from local universities. Karen specializes in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), kinesio taping techniques, and low and high velocity manipulation of the spine and extremities. She is excited to serve the downriver community to get them moving!
LYNN KAISER, OTR
Owner/Occupational Therapist

1997 Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy - Eastern Michigan University.
Biography
Lynn is an Occupational Therapist with over 23 years of experience working with children, young adults, adults, and geriatric individuals. She has worked with a wide range of diagnoses/injuries involving the hand, wrist, and upper extremity including fractures, sprains, tendon injuries/repairs, cumulative trauma disorders, and osteoarthritis. Lynn specializes in splinting for mobilization and immobilization utilizing static and dynamic splinting techniques. She is also trained in evaluation and treatment of neurological conditions, as well as vestibular/inner ear and balance disorders. Lynn is certified in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) techniques which she uses in conjunction with manual therapy techniques to help patients return to their prior level of function and achieve the outcomes they are hoping for. Lynn has served on the Board of Michigan Board of Occupational Therapy for the past 5 years.

JUSTIN STREEFKERK, PT, DPT, MDNC

Biography
Justin is a Physical Therapist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic, neurological, and sports-related injuries to the extremities and spine. He is also certified in Dry Needling and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), which is used in conjunction with manual therapy techniques and functional exercise for patients of all age ranges and diagnoses. Justin also specializes in the evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders and is trained in Kinesio-Taping Techniques.

Biography
Anthony joins the Movement team as a Physical Therapy Assistant with previous experience of over 5 years in the outpatient setting. His primary clinical interests include manual therapy, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), and functional exercise to treat patient of all ages and diagnoses.

Biography
Ed has been treating patients in the downriver area for 26 years. He specializes in the treatment of orthopedic and neurological dysfunction including post-joint replacement surgery, sports injuries, balance and gait dysfunction, and vestibular disorders.
Andrew Boardman, PT, DPT

Biography
Andrew is a physical therapist with expertise in the evaluation and treatment of a variety of conditions of the extremities and spine. He has completed a CF-L2 certification, which he uses to educate local community members towards greater independence in health & wellness. His clinical interests include post-operative joint rehabilitation, orthopedic manual therapy, functional biomechanics, education on daily activity, and improving safety and independence in transfers and gait.

Biography
Erika is an occupational therapist with experience working with pediatrics, adults, and the geriatric population. She has had specialized training in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic, neurological, and vestibular conditions. More specifically Erika has experience working with cumulative trauma, fractures, burns, and musculoskeletal conditions. Erika's clinical interests include manual therapy techniques, kinesiotaping, and assisting in patients achieving their personal and therapeutic goals.

Biography
Bree joined the Movement team in 2024 bringing with her over 20 years of experience in the occupational therapy field. She has experience in several clinical settings including orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, and stroke rehabilitation. Bree's clinical interests include post-stroke rehabilitation, balance and ADL training, and treatment of dysfunctions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

Biography
Leah joined the Movement team in 2024. She has over 30 years of experience as a physical therapist, specializing across multiple patient populations including orthopedic, vestibular, and post-concussion. Leah is certified is Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) as well. When not in clinic, Leah loves to travel, go to concerts, and exercise (especially jogging)!
Laudine Smith
Office Staff/Receptionist
Laudine joined the team at Movement Physical and Occupational Therapy in 2024 and is an integral part of the office's day to day operations. She provides administrative support and customer service to clients and internal staff in addition to assisting walk-in clients, scheduling client appointments, answering phone lines, and helping clients with questions and issues.

Sue joined the Movement team in 2024. With a warm smile and a welcoming demeanor, she is the first point of contact for our valued clients. With many years of experience in the industry, Sue excels at managing schedules and ensuring smooth communication within our team. Passionate about customer service, she is committed to making every visitor feel at home.
Harvey
Therapy Dog
Harvey spends time at both the Newport and Riverview Movement offices, usually being in close proximity to his owner, Lynn. He is a Bernese Mountain Dog that was rescued in 2024 and is now living his best life with his new home and work families. Harvey loves meeting all of the patients that come into the clinic, especially those lovely friends that are willing to give him treats (no need to bring - Lynn is always happy to supply)!

Therapy Dog
Haas was our original therapy dog at Movement. He was a Fox Red English Labrador Retriever that worked in clinic from 2020-2024. Haas loved going to work at Movement (with his dad, Justin) to greet and provide emotional support to visitors of our clinic. He spread lots of love and joy to those fortunate enough to have met him and will forever be a part of the Movement Family.
